Welcome to our coastal resource site, where you can create a map and navigate to our database of photos, reports, plans and information from the distant past to the foreseeable future. Consideration of potential target audiences is fundamental to the development of this website. The ability to turn map layers on and off and call up additional information as needed will allow scientists, fishermen, divers, beach users, engineers, managers, students, planners, property owners or anyone seeking information about our coastline to navigate the site with ease. Visit often, as we are starting out with only a fraction of the available data and expect to build this site at a steady pace.

Visibility of several features is controlled by the view scale. The aerial photography, for example, will not be visible when viewing the entire county but will appear automatically once the resolution reaches a practical scale to do so. Tools available in the website include: zoom, pan, zoom to scale, scale bar, measurement, identify, buffer and layer controls. Data layers are either labeled on the screen or identified on left mouse click. Some data layers offer you additional options and information when you click the mouse on a feature.
